Our Year in Review
This year for us has been so busy but so full! We started and wrapped up multiple projects, participated in the Little Hands VA Tablescapes event, had our first intern for the summer, traveled to Asheville, North Carolina for a site visit, installed a whole home with Christmas decor, and finally moved into our new office!
Spring
In the spring we prepared for the Little Hands VA Tablescapes event, wrapped up our Old Mill project, and had our photoshoot for that project. The Little Hands event (a blog post from earlier in the year is dedicated to our process for this event), was such a fun way to interact with other designers in the area, use local vendors, and support a great cause. Our Old Mill project was so fun to see come to life! We were so excited our clients trusted us and went with the blue cabinets for their kitchen.
Summer
This summer we were lucky to be joined by our intern, Barrick, from Radford University. We were so excited to have her with us for a few months! During the summer, we also wrapped up our Woodlawn Ave project. Our Woodlawn Ave project was a lot of fun, as we got to touch multiple rooms of the home and do a combination of renovation and furnishings.
Fall
This fall, Lindsey and Shanda took a weekend trip to Boston to visit the showrooms in the city, we wrapped up our Avon Road project, and we took a team site visit to Asheville, North Carolina. It was so fun to see the site, even before it was cleared for construction! We also got to meet the architects who we had been remotely working with on the project in person for the first time, which was really great.
Winter
This winter we did a full home Christmas decor install and have been focusing on our office move. The Christmas install really got us in the festive mood! Our new office has more square footage, lots of natural light, and is in a more convenient location. We are still getting settled and working on getting organized, but we are so excited to start working out of our new space and excited we have a cool new office to host clients at! But first, we need a fresh coat of paint.
We are so grateful to have clients, vendors, and contractors like the ones we had the opportunity to work side by side with this year. This year has definitely been one for the books. We are excited to continue doing what we do, now equipped with a new office, in the new year (after a week or two of rest). See you then!
